Tejas - March 2008

Tejas had a busy month. He had lots of family come visit him including his Sunny Mama, all his Kuiper Uncles and Aunts, and his Grandpa James. He also got to play with his cousin Kiersten again. He now knows when people are leaving and gets sad.    Tejas had the opportunity to get out and play in the snow twice. He hurt his poor little face when he tried to run too fast at daycare and landed face first. Luckily he is young and heals quickly. Now that the weather is getting better we have been going out on walks. Tejas loves going outside and screams when we get back into the house.  Last updated 04-01-08.  

Below are the pictures of Tejas from April. We tried not to take too many pictures of him eating, but as those chubby cheeks are evidence, it is what he does often. Plus it is one of the few times he is sitting still. The other times we get the camera out and as soon as he sees it, he stops whatever cute thing he is doing and wants to check out the new gadget. The camera especially interests him because it has man buttons for him to push.
        Tejas is testing out what he can get away with. He knows we think that bottom lip is adorable so as soon as we tell him 'no' he quivers his bottom lip and drops right to the floor. Too bad it doesn't work as well as he would like. Mom and Dad thought they at least had a half a year before the tantrums started. Wishful thinking Mom and Dad.
        Other notabes for this month - he got his fifth tooth, is pointing a lot more, imitates Mom and Dad, and is saying more words.

Below are the pictures of Tejas from May. He had an extremely busy month and is becoming more daring but also quite the helper. He loves to help unload the dishwasher, fold laundry, move shoes out of the way, etc.
        Tejas loves to climb anything that is climbable. He is constantly doing acrobatic tricks off his toy box, his chair, and the ottomon. He has even tried to climb the gates in the family room.
        He is learning lots of new words but knows how to manipulate Mommy and Daddy and pretend not to understand what they are saying. Over the last few days he has really become a parrot so Mom and Dad need to institute the swear jar to make sure he doesn't pick up anything bad.
