August

Below are pictures of Karina and Tejas in August. Both kids were very sick this month. Even though Karina is not in daycare Big Brother was kind enough to bring home a sample of the germs she is missing out on. Poor Tejas didn't eat for several days and had no energy. Our litle princess had an awful cough and lost her voice. The girl who was full of smiles now struggled.
        Karina is still struggling to nap during the day. Lucky for us she sleeps well at night but we are lucky if she sleeps 15 to 45 minutes during a nap. She is the opposite of Tejas. She fights and cries to take a nap whereas Tejas is such a good sleeper as long as he has his blanky with tags and his binky.
        We are still attempting to potty train Tejas but rather than making progress he has learned how to manipulate the system. When we ask if wants to go potty he sometimes says yes, sits on the toilet, holds his hand out and says 'Piece of chocolate!'.
        Tejas has joined Gym Class and loves it. He is not scared to go on the balance beams, walk like a bear, or do somersaults. He has a hard time keeping focus and doing what the rest of the class is doing but he has a lot of fun.
        Tejas and Karina both love going to the zoo. Karina likes any activity where she is out of the house and in her car seat. She could be very fussy and as soon as she gets in her car seat she is instantly happy. Tejas loves to see all the animals and especially the Camels.
        Tejas has started to call Karina by the nicknames we call her. It is very cute when he calls her "gobi" and "chinu". I don't think he knows what they mean but he still likes to use it.
        At the end of August we got together with some local Cleveland friends. Many of our dinner club friends also recently had babies. You will see a picture below of our attempt to take a picture of all the kids. As I said, it was an attempt.
