Below are pictures of Karina and Tejas in July. Tejas and Karina went to see fireworks for the fourth of July. Tejas loved watching the fireworks from a distance. He sat on top of his Daddy's shoulders, pointed to the firework in the distance, and yelled 'boom'. However when the fireworks started very close to him he got scared. Mommy ended up taking him inside the van to watch but he still kept looking away and shaking. Finally towards the end he watched a few and seemed to be ok as long as Mommy held him tight. Karina on the other hand didn't seem to mind or notice anything at all.
        Tejas and Karina stayed with Avva and ThaTha and Meera Aunty in Pittsburgh while Mom and Dad went to Scotland for a week. Mom and Dad missed them much but were able to skype with them a few times. Mom especially enjoyed when Tejas would come up to the computer and give us kisses. He was very excited to see Mom and Dad for a few minutes but then went to play after a few minutes as that was enough.
        Tejas did fine with Avva and ThaTha but once Mom and Dad came home he realized they had been gone for a while. He started to worry that they were going to leave again and started to act out. He is normally very loving to his sister but would get a bit jealous. He also had a hard time sleeping at night by himself. He is getting better each day but Mom was supposed to go to a friend's wedding the following weekend. She ended up canceling as to not torment her sweetie any more.
        Tejas got to eat Happy Birthday Cake twice this month as he sang and wished his Avva and ThaTha Happy Birthday. He even goes into the puja room and tries to blow out the deepams and then starts singing happy birthday.
        Karina has already started rolling over. She just turned four months old a few days ago. We can't believe she is growing so fast! She has also started chewing everyone's fingers but if she is anything like Tejas those first teeth won't be coming for a while.
