Tejas and Karina had lots of visitors this month. On Labor Day weekend Oma, Grandpa, Aunt Karen, Uncle Jesse and Aunt Jen came to visit. Even Avva stopped by for a day. Tejas had a great time with everyone and helped pick hops in the yard. He even showed Grandpa how to kick the soccer ball into the net.
        We took the kids to the Air Show with Uncle Jesse and Aunt Jen. Both were having a good time until the really loud planes flew by. Both got very scared and we ended up having to cover the kids' ears and run out. Good thing Uncle Jesse and Aunt Jen were there to grab all the things we left behind.
        Later in September Tejas and Karina got to see Sumana Aunty again and meet Gautam Uncle and Nagaraj ThaTha for the first time. Tejas kept calling Gautam Uncle Sunny Mama. He also calls Leela on Sesame Street Mommy. Poor confused kid.
        Tejas continues to call Karina by the nicknames we call her. When she cries he says "gobi, you're ok". He still loves his baby sister a lot. One afternoon while Karina was playing she kept pulling her shirt up to her mouth and exposing her belly. Tejas pulled her shirt down and said 'No belly!'. What a good protective brother!
        Karina is still learning to eat solid foods. She shows a lot of interest in the things others are eating and drinking, but when we attempt to feed her she is not happy. I think she realizes that eating from a spoon requires a lot more effort than quickly drinking a bottle.
