September and October

The kids learned Garba and Navaratri at Leela's and Sonia's house. Tejas and Karina weren't too interested in dancing but rather playing with all the new toys in the cool play room.
        Vishu Uncle and Nalini Aunty came by to visit for an afternoon as they were attending a conference in Orlando. Karina really enjoyed all the attention and was even ready to go home with them. I don't think Vishu Uncle and Nalini Aunty were excited to see a baby alligator as we took a walk around the nearby pond.
        We had a whole bunch of family come visit. It was like Christmas in October with all the gifts this month! We took the family to St Petersburg and Clearwater beaches. The kids loved playing in the water and although the weather was gorgeous (mid 70s) the water was quite chilly. We also went on a nice dolphin watch and sightseeing boat ride. Tejas got to steer the boat and even feed birds out of his hand on the deck.
        Every night when getting ready for bed; Karina sits on the potty, looks around and says "my bathroom is great." The way she looks around in amazement every night and the way she pronounces the words crack us up.
        Tejas and Seth watched baseball together and rooted for their teams. Tejas was rooting for the T team like his name (Texas) and Seth was rooting for the D team (D for Daddy) team. So cute!
